if you put new rings in a weak engine ..( "babbit rod ,s) at the crank area " the pressure from the compression will hammer at the old weak babbits..so all is relative from spark chamber in head ..to "force "to crank like a train...get a nice rebuilt 352 ci or what ever your ,s is swapped out for only $ 2 ,341.00 then all those worries stop and motor will probrably out live you ! there are lots of engine rebuild" forums " where for instance ....."just ask . com " ....for a $ 7.00 fee the real shop mechanics site will give you correct advice what they don"t tell you at YOUR LOCAL ENGINE SHOP...for instance all about those pesky '92 caravan dodge products...signal colunmb switch was built around the van!!! what a joke.
