I am nearly finished rebuilding my steering column on my 64 landau,but the upper ball joint rubber seal on the driver side is torn. I am wondering if anyone has replaced the uppers(ball joints), and if it is as easy as the manual makes it seem or should I take it to a shop ? I replaced one of the lowers, but am wondering about the possibilities of the spring coming out of its seats etc. Any help/hints would be greatly appreciated.
