Frame modifications

[Square Bird Fan]

New member to the forum would like to ask any member about frame modifications to a square bird. I am restoring a 60 Bird with a 406, 3 duce set-up and a 4-speed T-10 trans. It has a posi rear with 15 in. wheel and disc brakes. This is a total custom which started out life as a coupe and is now a convert. All top parts are from a 59 bird. It is also has a 3 inch top chop.

I will be adding a strengthening member under the floor between the front frame member and the rear leaf spring attachment point.

Before I proceed, I would like to know if anyone here has accomplished this mod or knows of anyone who has accomplished it.
