There was a extra nipple on the booster check valve for the hose to the vacuum modulator on the transmission. I don't think vacuum door locks were offered in 1962.
It sounds like you have an air conditioned car. Vacuum from the check valve goes to the vacuum reservior near the battery and from there to the AC/ heater control in the console through the small vacuum lone.
