Red face Convertible Problem !!

Hi All; My '62 convertible top is starting to run very slowly. Relays just click !
Sometimes it seems I have to wait for the relays to cool down before
it'll continue up or down.
Also I have to complete the whole cycle ether up all the way or down all the way.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Stoney

If your top stops and starts as it retracts or raises, more than likely the circuit breaker in the pump motor is kicking out. Have you checked your fluid level? I often find it necessary to open the motor and bend the arms to make the operation continuous.
The system was designed so that the luggage compartment could be opened and closed without lowering the top. Does yours work that way??

Yes Harley the compartment can be opened and closed without operating the top.
I will check my fluid level and try to trace down the motor and try to figure it out.
THANKS !!
