56 TBird Torque Converter

I am hoping someone can give me some advice on a leaking Torque converter. I have a 1956 Thunderbird that I have just spent nearly 1.5K on having the transmission seal replaced. Without going over all the sorted details, the garage is now saying the torque converter is leaking. Has anyone ever had a problem with a torque converter leaking? Of course the garage says the torque converter wasn't leaking when they did the seal repair so this is a new leak not covered by the original warranty. The car was only driven home from the garage which was less than 15 miles.
