Any reputable paint supplier or paint shop can custom mix any colour that the small birds originally came in. You'll have to decide whether or not you want a single stage paint (original) or a base coat clear coat (as today's cars use.)

The paint shop suppliers have the paint codes for all makes of cars, for all models, and all years, pretty much since the beginning of cars. You tell them you would like a one stage paint for a 1956 Ford Thunderbird in peacock blue.

Go online and search for peacock blue TBirds at Amos Minter, or such sites. Print off a colour photo. Or contact Amos Minter.com and ask their restoration staff for the paint code they use. The cars they turn out are correct in all aspects, so the colours they use will be original. Good Luck!

Just got the new small bird restoration and parts catalogue from Hill's Thunderbirds and its got the original PPG code: DQE-11415-DAL where DQE is DITCO Quickset enamel, and DAL is DITZ-LAC Automotive Laquer, both Ditzler Colours from PPG (Pittsburg Plate Glass Company).

Start there with PPG paint suppliers, but be aware that other paint companies can match PPG paints with a cross reference.
