master cylinder

Hi, I've got a 66 convertable with stock disc/drum brakes. It has a stock power booster with the jam jar. I'd like to do the MC swap to a dual MC. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this swap please. I have read that I can use a 67 MC that will keep the rod length the same. But I don't have any information on how to plumb the lines from the MC to the proportion valve and then to the brakes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Im in the middle of trying to figure this out myself. I am looking at a 7"dual diaphram booster and updated master for my 66. Here is my question/statement... and correct me if Im wrong, a more updated master I believe has the porportioning valve built in it doesnt it? Meaning you could delete the external one by the inner fender?

I was doing some hunting and came across these guys. Not sure the quality of the product but they seem to have quite the selection (whether its in stock is another question)

on the new aftermarket stuff,I have seen where the proportion valve is tucked underneath the MC,but I believe you still need one. The original proportion valve on the tbird, from what I read just goes to the rear brakes and gives the rear brakes less preasure than the fronts. What I'll probably do is use the 67 MC,or a mustang booster since it is more flat and a Granada MC and get a modern proportion valve and plumb it like a modern car.I hope the email link works, not very good with computers.

Guys,

Send me an e-mail address that will take a fairly large document with pictures. I have step-by-step instructions with pictures and replacement part numbers.
