Turn Signal
Hello again
It has been awhile, lots of issues solved via surfing this forum. Thanx to all that have posted. The challenge I have now is, Outer turn signal bulbs on both sides not functioning, I have had the lenses off and cleaned all sockets wirh contact cleaner and fine sandpaper, seem to have good spring tension on contacts. All tail lights come on - brake lights work only the outer elements do not light up on outside bulbs. Should I go for sequencer next ? Thanx in advance Jim |

If I understand correctly, the outer bulbs are not illuminated for turn signals or brake lights. If I am right about this, I would think the turn signal relay is bad. If only the flasher was bad, all six brake lights should come on. These relays don't go bad very often. I'm sure I have some good used ones. Harley in Keller, TX.

Thanx Harley
On outer light bulbs I have running and brake lights, just turn signals are not working on those two bulbs - inner filament glows outer filament does not, trying to avoid removing tail light housing if possible. |

When I read "brake lights work only the outer elements "do not light up on outside bulbs", I thought the outer bulbs did not light up when you press the brake. After reading your last message, I would say the contacts in the flasher/sequencer are not working properly. The contact points need attention or the flasher needs to be replaced. I do have new flashers.
