Gold 390 in a 65
I posted elsewhere but I thought I would try here. We are rebuilding my engine from my 65 and were planning on painting it black but once we had the engine out and looking at all of it closely...it is painted gold...a bit different than the valve covers and air but there is no doubt it is not black but gold. There is no black under the gold at all. A gold engine that is all.
Should I repaint it gold or go to black the way the specs call? Oh, the date code on the engine is correct and the engine was cast in DIF. There must be a story to this? Gt |
