Missing piece

Finally after 2 years I'm putting my '66 back together. Everything new or rebuilt, as a driver. Paint and everything.
Behind the wiper motor cover, under the cowl panel, are 2 bolts. Something was bolted there, but for the life of me, I can't remember or find anything amongst the parts pile that fits. Anybody have an idea? I assume it may be some type of brace. What if I leave it off, hurt anything?

Here's a photo of my 64 with the cowl off. I didn't remove the two bolts before painting because there didn't seem to be anything that had to be taken off.
Page 19 of the Osborne Electrical Installation Manual shows the attachment of the windshield wiper motor and the bolts are already in place in hte drawing with no explanation. I suspect they may hold a support below each brace to keep the wiper motor from flexing.
Hope this is a bit of help

Thanks, Terry
I thought I might have tossed something I needed. I was putting the cowl panel on without what ever went there. It runs and drives the same.

I was told those 2 bolts I'm referring to hold the nut plates in place for the wiper motor and cover. Apparently, the nut plates were installed up the line from where the motor and cover were installed during assembly. Huh.
