Thanks :D I have changed the hood ornament back to the original. car is in very good shape except for the dents in the drivers side but they will get some attention soon :)

I was thinking that the turquiose hood ornament was original on your car. Did Ford offer a turquiose hood ornament on the 77-79 Birds, or did someone paint that one turquiose?

they came on the diamond jubilee's, heritage, and town landau's there are currently a few on ebay but be prepared to pay a good price for them.

Went and purchased insurance for my t-top today. Should be driving it by late next week :) hope inspection goes well
