i,m a ford guy for life....but ford has drop the ball on the thunderbird the 2002-2005 thunderbirds...nice car..but they did not get the rear of the car right...they did a good job on the 2005-2009 mustang...ford need to give the people what they want...if ford were to retro these cars they would sale..1958-1960 thunderbird,1961-1963 thunderbird,1961966 thunderbird,1961-1963 lincoln and the big fords from 1960-1965..these cars would sell and due them in order...its a market that has not been tapped...you could call this the retro market.....do you know when i drive my 65 thunderbird..everyone knows what it is..thats say alot about a car...its an icon...ford need to push the bean counters aside and get some real car guy in there...but some well rounded car guys...ford could make a killing off some of these ideals...
