Want to swap in a manual transmission...
I want to swap a manual transmission into my automatic T-Bird. I know this will be a difficult task, but not impossible.
Does anybody know where I can locate a transmission (it can be used/old), or will the transmission from a mustang work? I have a 3.8L V6, I'm looking for a tranny that will work with that, or I am looking to put a 5.0 in the car.

You should just go with the 5.0 engine and then out the T5 tranny in with it, it will fit granted you will have to find or make new mounts. But ya thats a big job to take on in your garage thats for sure. Serisouly i wouldent waste my time trying to fit up to that 3.8. Plus you want more power anywho!!!!!!!!right?
