CARB and AOD stuff
Heres the deal...
Converting my tbird with a 302 CID V8 to carb. I currently have an Edelbrock EDL-2121 Performer Intake Manifold, and Edelbrock EDL-1406 Carb (600 cfm). The car also has the Ford AOD Transmission. The Problem is that the carb and the transmission are not compatible. I believe that this is because of the kickdown and throttle cable hook ups on the carb. I dont want to fry the tranny and a new one is definately out of the question now. My question is- how can I make this combination work safely? OR----> Are there any kits or other Carbs available that are compatable with the Ford AOD? Any help or advice is appreciated. thanks!
