Post 57 Dash Question

Putting the dash back together on the 57 T-Bird and got stumped by a really stupid thing - is the Gen idiot light or the Oil light on the drivers side of the steering column. Yes ... I took all kinds of notes when I dissasembled the dash 3 years ago - but they conflict with each other. Musta had one too many. Any Bird enthusiasts out there that can help?

I have the Electrical schematics that are sold in the Blue book for T-birds. Does anyone know of another source - the diagrams are very hard to read for us old people

Thanx for your help!

I answered your main question on the AACA Forum.
(OIL on left, GEN on right)
Since this Forum's format is much easier to use, perhaps we can expand the answer here.

Page 9 of the owners manual shows the warning light orientation. There is also an Electrical Installation Manual available from Classic Thumderbird Club International. This manual is available for purchase by members and would be an invaluable aid for what you are doing. It shows both wiring diagrams and installation drawings containing wire color, gage, etc. The blue shop manual will be of little use to you on this phase of the project.

Got more questions? Just give a holler. Plenty of help available here.

Yes got your answer in the AACA DF. Thank you very much. I will take you up on the offer for help if I get stuck. So far so good ... is there a way I can test the dash wiring BEFORE I reistall the dash unit back in the car. Just my luck I will have a problem that I can't reach afterwards?????
