Manual seat mechanism 55 to 57

Hi bird lovers
I have a manual seat with a Bodgy cable between the left and right track
Does any one have a photo of the underside of the seat showing how the cable/wire or whatever should be routed
Thanks

What seat, power or manual. If manual, just loosen the four nuts on the underside of the car and pull the seat. Sometimes, although not factory, bolts go up through the floorboard. Originally, studs screwed into the seat runners were used.

If its a power seat, a lot more complicated. Beside the four nuts, you have to disconnect the power seat connections, one at the back and the other under the seat.

It is possible that bolts were used with nuts on the topside, but this is not factory. Possibly stripped threads on the seat runners. You will have to reach up under the seat to see if this is the case. If you have nuts and they turn while unloosening the bolt, you will need a helper.

If the threads are stripped, once the seat is out I would suggest you get nuts welded to the runners so you can use studs which are much easier to work with.
