Hey Lex,

I had the same challenge, and ended up crawling under the dash to move the mechanism by hand (still couldn't see it from under there, but I could feel it by reaching over the top of the glove box)

Then it turns out that the locking button you're trying to turn is actually a push button to open the glove box. My thumb goes into the button space up almost as deep as the base of my thumbnail as I push it to open it. Hope this helps.

Aloha

lex446,

The 55 is in storage at present, but as I recall, if the lock is unlocked, you just simply push on the button. On my car I have to push on the button to close the glovebox, otherwise the latch won't catch and keep it closed. But that may be just on my smallBird.

Got it. It was a push button. Thanks, Lex
