57 oil inlet tube to oil pump

I'm reinstalling the oil pan and oil inlet tube to the oil pump. The gasket kit I bought has the seal for the tube connection to the oil pump. I can see the old seal still inside the pump. No idea how old it is, but it appears to be in good condition. But since i have a new one, might as well install it.
1. Will the old seal come out without any special tool?
2. When I install the new one, do I insert the tube into the seal before inserting into the pump, or do I put the seal into the pump first?
3. And am I correct that by leaving the connection at the oil pan end of the tube there will be enough wiggle room to get the tube into the pump?
