Speedometer Angle Drive

I am looking for a speedometer cable angle drive for a 1955. Was also wondering if there is an alternate way to hook up the speedo to the transmission to avoid the $300 cost of a repro angle drive. Thanks.

Macs has them for $250. https://www.macsautoparts.com/1955-1...6-27856-1.html

You could probably install a longer cable with a loop, or go with an electronic system and modern gauge movements, but its far better to keep the originality if you can.

I did get the longer cable versus the angle drive. Just trying to get the car back to driver condition and trying to keep the restore costs under control. Thanks for the response.
