How to Repair Slightly Pitted Interior Chrome?

I was wondering if anyone had tips on restoring interior chrome that is slightly pitted?

000 or 0000 steel wool

0000 is the finest so start with that. Try rubbing lightly and see how it looks. Add pressure slightly when necessary. Go to the 000 if it's not getting all the pits out and then finish with the 0000. Try it out in an inconspicuous area if you're nervous about it. Follow up with some chrome polish. Good luck!
