steering box ajustment.

I had the wheels aligned on my 64 landau and am assured they are as they should be but it still pulls to the left. The service manual specs a removal of the box, setting up a pressure gauge in the power steering pressure line and comparing torque needed to hold 300psi in the left and right stops to center the torque tube setting. This is done to equal the power assistance between left and right turns. If if this is off then the car will pull to one side. Has anyone made this adjustment with the box in place ? It looks like the adjustment screw is reachable with the hood hinge removed. ( tight but dooable.) Any hints?
