puzzling chrome badge?
 

I recently bought a 1965 Tbird and some chrome is missing. Next to the landau scroll on the roof, there are holes as if there is supposed to be an extra badge there. Please tell me what this would be.

Chris- You may have a "special landau" on your hands, a pretty rare car. The specials had additional plaques on the roof quarters- could be what you are missing. Check this site for more info-

The 1965 Landaus had holes in the roof for the landau bars as well as the hardtop emblems. The vinyl covered the hardtop emblem holes so they were not seen.

I thought this might have been so. Thanks for clearing that up. I suppose I'll need to get a vinyl top now
