Post Detroit area Bird Mechanics

I noticed there are several detroit area birdlovers on this board from time to time. Do any of you know of a good mechanic that will help me get my 65 running again? I bought it a few weeks ago and the previous owner had it going. I can't get the thing started now and need some help. I suspect it willneed lots of work on the engine and want to find a mechanic willing and able to mess with an old Bird.

How many miles on the car - it is sad that it is not running. If it is extra old - you may want to have it rebuilt - most likely a 2200 job complete which will include pulling the engine and reinstalling it again. Have you checked spark - fuel pump - wires - altenator - timing - gas quality? Just wondering and please spread the word. ;)

The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner but he left it in bad shape . He had it going a while back but I know it will need someone familiar with old Birds to take a complete look at it. I was hoping somebody would know of a mechanic in the Detroit area who likes messing with old Birds to do that for me and do work from time to time. Thanks for the tip though, and I really like the Site.
