Post Back-up light switch

I just bought a '64 with a shop manual. The back-up lights don't work. The bulbs and ground wires seem fine. The manual I have doesn't "pinpoint" where the switch is. I couldn't find it on the transmission or the steering column. Can anyone give me some guidance without ahving to buy an electrical schematic manual (at least not at this time)?

On the 1964 Thunderbird, the back-up light switch is part of the neutral start switch mounted on the top of the steering column near the firewall. But, check the fuse.

Fordman,
The fuse is good; it seems that the switch is the culprit. Someone "rewired" the starter solenoid with a push button next to the ignition switch and wiring to the soleniod. Th e good part of the rewire is he/she didn't "hot-wire" it. Still need the key in "ON" for completion of the start circuit. Can anyone tell me if the wiring diagrams manuals in the Bird Nest and/or Concours Parts catalogs specify where components are?
