Cheap, no fuss, radio replacement

Since my TBird came with just the one speaker up front and the one in between the rear seat backs, I didn't want to cut into the dash.
I purchased a JBL Charge3 Bluetooth speaker and lay it up on dash. I use the Bluetooth in my IPhone for Pandora and music library. Sounds great and I can hide it when we park the car somewhere.

I replaced the 4x10 dash speaker with two 4" diameters for stereo sound. I don't have a factory rear speaker, but I know stereo speakers are made for that space. To get speakers in back I installed two slimline 5x7s behind the headliner.

I assume you mean behind the headliner on the C-pillars. How much room was there?

Since it's a hard top with no center pillar I've assumed that the pillar at the rear passenger's ear was called a B pillar.

These are the 5x7 "ultra thin" speakers that I installed. Sound quality is "just OK". https://www.retromanufacturing.com/p...nt=31320903246

As you can see in the photo they do protrude through the liner a little bit. THere is an internal steel framework that these are fastened to- no cutting. I spent about an hour shimming with various thicknesses of hard rubber washers to keep about 1/8" space between the back of the speaker and the exterior sheet metal of the car. It's not a perfect install but works for me.

My understanding was that the "A" pillar was at the windshield, the "B" between the doors and the "C" at the rear window. If the "B" wasn't there, it didn't change the naming of the others. Of course, this was before SUV, etc. I have no idea what they call them now.
