Temp guage pegging Gas gauge reading wring

While driving my 79 Bird tonight my temp gauge went to hot and my gas gauge went from 1/4 to 1/2 tank. Any ideas? Both sending units have been recently replaced

Both your gas gauge and temperature gauge operate from the printed circuit in back of the gauge cluster. Has it ever been changed? Or is it the original unit?
