Random wire from starter solenoid

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 78 town landau and there is a random wire coming off my starter solenoid from the hot side that I can't for the life of me find out where it goes. It's ford branded wire about 14 or 16 awg and the end is a female style slug connector. It's tied with the loom up to my firewall but when stretched to the maximum length it barely reached the carb. And help is much appreciated.
