power steering noise

Hi All - I have a 63 with power steering and a/c. Whenever I turn the steering wheel right or left I hear the ps motor making noise. The reserve tank has fluid. The previous owner tells me the motor was replace within the last year. Any help determining if it is fixable or needs to be replaced would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Marc

Pump Replacement

HI All - it looks like I have a lead on the shaft seal of the power steering pump. I need som directions on how to remove this thing. It is buried and I don't have a clue on where to start. Any suggestions?

Thank you, Marc

Do you have a LEAK at the shaft seal? Remove the hoses from the pump. Two bolts hold the pump. One is the pivot bolt. Remove the bolts (don't lose the spacer) and the belt and lift out the pump.

i bought a whole "new" rebuilt pump for 30 bucks may be easier than replacing the seal which may or may not stop the whinning.
