The 'M' Roadsters were rare versions of the '62 & early '63 Bullet Birds. The 'M' code engine (a $242 option) was a 390-cid/340 HP V-8 powerplant with three progressively-linked Holley two-barrel carbs. It had 10.5:1 compression ratio and 430 lb-ft of torque. It could move from 0-60 in 8.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 125 MPH. Reportedly, only 120 M-code roadsters were built. The rarest of the M's was the 1963 Roadster, of which only 37 were made. (The engine was discontinued in December 1962.)

The "M" code was the engine code for the tri-powered carb offered in those years. Although it was popular to order this option with the Sports Roadsters offered in 62 & 63, I think you could also order the "M" code engine on a regular Tbird. Therefore some regular convertibles and hardtops have the "M" code too. And some Sports Roadsters that were ordered without the "M" code have the normal "Z" code 390 engine.

Would anyone know what the price on a M-series Tri-Power intake is. Also the price of a complete Tri-Power set up. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Probably the intake could be had for $300 to $500. A complete set up will cost more like $2000 to $2500 (or higher).
