Wheel Sacrifice

Anybody shackled up and ditched fender skirts for the sake of their wheels? I bought a set of old school american racing classics cause i got a really good deal at a swap meet. Got 2 big fat 275-60-15s for the back and smaller 14s for the front of my 66 town landau. Tried them on, they will fit if i shackle up the back and lose the fender skirts. I could resell them amd probably make a couple bucks but i really like them. Has anybody done this? Did it work well? I would like to see pictures. Thanks

Based on my 66, you're going to have to raise up the back a bit. Mine came with 60's and were removed to ship the car. Now I can'tget them back on without lifting both axle & body on separate jacks. You might have to sacrifice either the skirts or the wheels depending which way you want to go. Mine came without skirts & I'mlooking to replace my wheels as mine are oddballs and need a lot of work.
