20" torq thrust M Shelby wheels
hi guys i got a 1960 Ford Thunderbird and i like the way it looks with the 20" torq thrust M Shelby wheels and i was wondering if they would fit here is the info:
Rim Diameter (in) 20 in. Rim Width (in) 10.00 in. Backspacing (in) 6.875 in. Offset (mm) +35.00mm Wheel Material Aluminum Wheel Finish Chrome 5 x 4.5 in. Bolt Circle Last edited by 1960T-BIRD; 08-22-2009 at 01:25 PM.

You are going to have a tough time running a 10" wide on your bird without some sort of mod to your inner fenders. I would suggest if you do want to run a 10" wide rim, that you only run it on the back. Run a 20x8 wide in front. Or you could stagger the wheels like I did, I run a 20x10 in the rear, and 18x8 in the front. You may not like the way your car handles with a really wide tire up front. They tend to make the car "track" and follow grooves in the road rather than the input your trying to give it with the steering wheel. My rims are custom built for the car with careful measurements and let me tell you, its super tight in the back, I have about a half inch of space on either side. No rubbing thank god. I have a pic up in the 66 section regarding a brake booster question.

If you run a 20 x 10 the wheel will hit the tire rod along with rubbing the wheel wells.
You can run 20 x 10's on the rear but you're going to have to do a mini-tub to make them fit. John
